I work for IBM Rational as a consultant working with deployment of software tools in the areas of product management as well as configuration and change management. The specific tools I work with are Rational Focal Point for product management and rational Synergy and Change for change and configuration management. A good portion of my work is involved with building integrations between these tools and other systems. For that I am grateful to all I have learned from Python and Jython, and of course Perl. I have also spent a lot of time over the last 5 years introducing and supporting a wiki and several other collaborative tools so occasionally venture into posts about knowledge management.
My interests range pretty widely so the topics that I cover in this blog include business communication, knowledge management, wikis, scripting tools, OS technology news and other things of interest to mobile tech workers. As I find interesting news this will also contain pointers to thoughts related to configuration management, change management, product management and general software development. If I have a strange angle on topics, it likely comes from far too much travel. Given that I travel too much and eat out too much, I will also post on diet related topics on occasion.
